What these terms cover
These terms cover the Unforge website, guides, and downloads offered by the independent open-source project maintained as Viiberr1128. “We” means the project maintainer. Unforge is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, Microsoft, OpenAI, Apple, Google, or Cloudflare.
The website provides information and access to a local application. It does not provide an Unforge account, paid subscription, hosted workspace, or managed production service.
Your software stays yours
Unforge source code and accompanying documentation are available under the MIT license. That license governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the software. These website terms do not narrow those rights. Third-party components retain their own licenses and notices.
Using Unforge does not give us ownership of your projects or a license to your private work. You remain responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the code, data, and other materials you use.
Using the website and app
Use the website lawfully. Do not disrupt it, attack other visitors, or attempt to access systems or information without authorization. Report suspected vulnerabilities through the private security reporting channel; avoid putting sensitive details in a public issue.
The application runs on your computer. Review proposed edits and commands before using them with important work. Only run projects you trust: project commands can use your computer account’s permissions and access the network. Keep independent backups and test recovery.
Optional services and costs
AI, cloud storage, hosting, and other services you choose are provided under their own accounts, terms, privacy policies, and prices. Unforge does not include AI credits or guarantee that those services are free. You control which services to connect and are responsible for their charges.
Links to third-party websites do not make those services part of Unforge. Statements about software ownership describe the product direction; they are not a claim that this alpha replaces every repository host, team workflow, provider, or service.
Optional contributions
A contribution through our Stripe-hosted checkout is a voluntary one-time tip for the free Unforge software and documentation already provided. It does not purchase a subscription, feature, support commitment, or delivery deadline, and it does not renew automatically.
The checkout shows the amount and currency before payment. Processing is handled by Stripe, which applies its own terms and privacy practices. Contributions are not offered as tax-deductible charitable donations. You do not need to contribute to exercise the software rights granted by the MIT license.
For a payment mistake, duplicate charge, or refund request, email support@unforge.app with the payment date, amount, and receipt reference, if available. We will review the payment and refund a confirmed accidental or duplicate contribution to the original payment method. Other refund requests are reviewed individually. Your bank or payment provider determines when an issued refund appears; we do not guarantee an arrival date. Do not send full card details or post payment information in a public issue. Nothing in this contribution policy limits any refund or other right required by applicable law.
Availability and limitations
Unforge 0.4.1 is a working alpha. Features may change, errors may occur, and the website or downloads may be unavailable. There is no uptime, support-response, data-recovery, or fitness-for-purpose guarantee. The guide explains current capabilities and limits.
The software is provided under the warranty and liability provisions in its MIT license. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its information are provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. No mandatory legal right is waived by using this website.
Changes and contact
Updates to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date. A later website policy does not revoke rights already granted under the MIT license.
For a general question, open an issue in the public repository. Do not include personal information, passwords, private code, or customer data. For privacy questions, see the privacy contact instructions.
